Music From the Ashes

12 million years ago volcanic ash buried alive elephants, camels and rhinos in Northeast Nebraska and today their skeletons are still being uncovered. Inspired by this cataclysmic event composer Rusty Banks wrote a score for the Nebraska Chamber Players' 15 anniversary. (Ashfall Unearthed, the half-hour documentary from which this segment is edited, premieres on NET in December, 2013).
