Patsy Mink, Title IX Pioneer

US Representative Patsy Mink of Hawaii, a former University of Nebraska student, was the principal author of Title IX. The landmark legislation guaranteed equity for women and girls on the field, in the classroom, and in federally-funded workplaces.
